Onto Emerald Beach Fair, lots to see, live music....
Pipe band,loved them.....
Sky divers landing on the beach....and
One of the biggest dishes of paella I've seen for a while.
Lots of food and a cake competition that after it was judged ,big pieces of cake for $3,I had the waffle cake with a cup of coffee.....,no photo I hoovered it!!!! Layers of waffles with some gooey mixture between it,must Google the recipe!!
Off to see our mate Sean in Willowvale QLD,sunshine state, yes!!!!! On the road Monday 1st June....
this poor bugger arrived in the rain, bed pokes out the back....interesting sleeping on a slope!!
40 kms south of the Gold Coast on the Pacific highway I came across this wildlife, yes in a roadside stop within meters of the hwy, alas no eggs were to be found.AmazingArrived at Willovale and set up the van outside the fence, pretty steep up here!
Willowvale...
View from the van window! Impressive!
Tuesday 2nd June........My cousin Sandy lives close by in Wongawallan on a 9 acre block in the original Queenslander farm house, off course they added to it,beautiful setting! Once a dairy farm.
The original milking shed!
This is the dairy shed, stored the milk in,now it's used to store the horse and chook food.
The house, stays green all year round!!
Creek running through the acres,Sandy said it was a great spot for the kids to swim when they were little, although she had to keep her eye out for snakes!!!
Wednesday ....off for a walk ......hills!!!
Beautiful scenery, our mate Sean is with us !!
Not sure what this tree is but amazing flowers!!
Wildlife!!!
And this....thought it might have once belonged to the steer in the paddock!!! Ba ha ha,strange looking phalic symbol,a tree full of them and bloody heavy!! Full of seed I presume!!??
I laughed all the way home !!!
Off to Brisbane tomorrow....

Hate to think what you might do with that thing Jen! Nice yellow flowers. Looks warmer now that you are further North! Say "hi" to Sean for me - he swam in our pool a summer or two ago?
